One of the most incredible things about Pepper Jam is how diverse it is for cooking.
Pepper Jam can be used as a spread, dip, or glaze to literally “spice up” any meal. This post is about some of the most traditional ways you can serve Pepper Jam and hopefully inspires your creativity to come up with new ideas to wow your guests by adding Pepper Jam to any meal.
Pepper Jam + Cheese, Meat, Crackers = Delicious!
Granda Jones popularized Pepper Jam in the 1970’s and 80’s by serving it what she would have considered “the traditional way,” which is to say as the perfect combination to a cheese, meat, and cracker tray. Non seasoned crackers tend to be best and Pepper Jam goes well with any cheese type, but some of our favorites include cheddar and aged gouda. You can also consider adding Cream Cheese to the mix so you would include a cracker, meat, spread of cream cheese, and a generous heap of Pepper Jam.
Pepper Jam + Chicken
Chicken is one of the most commonly served foods in the Western World. Whether your chicken is grilled or fried adding Pepper Jam will undoubtedly take it to the next level. We recommend pairing chicken with Southwestern Chipotle, Traditional, or Mango.
