Ingredients

  • 1 Tbs - Butter
  • 2 Tbs - flour
  • 2 Tbs - pan drippings (from fried pork chops, chicken, or chicken-fried steak)
  • 1 Tbs - Pepper Jam, any flavor
  • 2 cups - milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine pan drippings with butter until hot.
  2. Slowly add flour and stir to make a roux and add PepperJam.
  3. Slowly add the milk; stir constantly.
  4. Bring to a slow boil.
  5. Continue to cook until thick and bubbly.
  6. Salt and pepper to taste.
